The SciMed Knobbed Ring Pessary with Support is a soft, medical-grade silicone ring pessary with a small removal knob, made for women with pelvic organ prolapse who find a standard ring hard to take out at home, for example because of arthritis or a weak finger grip. It comes in sizes 0–8 (44–95 mm), is FDA 510(k) cleared, and no prescription is needed. Recommended by OB-GYN clinics to their patients. Made in USA and ships from California.
Pessaries should be fitted and used under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. This page is educational information about SciMed products, not medical advice. If you are unsure of your size or type, ask your clinician or start with a fitting pack.
Ships in a plain outer box — sender reads "SciMed" only, no product name on the label.

How to Use
Insertion is identical to the standard Ring With Support. Removal is where the knob helps: hook a finger over the knob, fold and pull. Much cleaner grip than feeling for a smooth ring edge.
FAQ
Does the knob cause irritation during normal wear?
No, soft, contoured silicone designed for the finger-access position.
What size should I order?
Same size as your standard ring pessary. Most common: 3, 4, 5. Email sales@scimedstore.com for sizing help.
How is this different from a Gellhorn?
A Gellhorn is for severe prolapse (Grade 3–4) and is typically provider-managed. The Knobbed Ring is a regular ring pessary with a grip aid.
HSA/FSA eligible?
Yes. HCPCS A4562 (silicone/non-rubber pessary).
Knobbed ring or regular ring: which should I buy?
Both are the same soft silicone ring pessary with support, in the same sizes. The only difference is the small removal knob. If you can take a regular ring out easily, the regular Ring Pessary With Support is all you need. If arthritis, weak fingers or hand pain make removal hard, choose the knobbed ring — the knob gives your finger something to hook. Order the same size you already wear.
How fast does it ship, and what does shipping cost?
Orders ship from our California warehouse. US shipping is a flat $4.99 by USPS on orders under $99, and free USPS shipping on orders of $99 or more.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days if the pessary is unopened and still sealed. For hygiene reasons, opened or used pessaries can never be returned. Your pessary also has a 12-month warranty.
