Universal Blast Burner glass blowing torch — professional-grade bench-top torch for laboratory glasswork, scientific glassblowing, quartz working, and hobbyist lampworking. Three separate stop cocks control Air, Gas, and Oxygen flow independently. Three interchangeable nozzles adjust flame size from precision fine (bead work) to large pointed hot flame (hard glass bending + Pyrex work). Mounted on heavy metal base with ball joint for full flame-angle adjustment when working large pieces. Includes 2-meter flexible rubber hose for gas connection. $399 direct.

FAQ
Do I need propane or natural gas?
Torch accepts both. Natural gas (from lab gas line) is cheaper + always available for lab work. Propane (from cylinder) gives higher heat + is portable — preferred for field / mobile / artisan use.
Do I need oxygen for basic glasswork?
Not for beginner work. Gas + air alone reaches ~1,500°C — sufficient for soft glass + basic Pyrex. For hard glass, quartz, and thick-wall apparatus, add oxygen to reach 2,000°C+ flame temperature. Oxygen tanks available from industrial gas suppliers (Airgas, Linde, Praxair).
Safety equipment I need?
Didymium safety glasses (mandatory — sodium flare protection), long-sleeved cotton/wool clothing (synthetics melt), heat-resistant table surface, fire extinguisher within reach. Do NOT operate near flammables + solvents.
How does this compare to National + Bethlehem torches?
National Handtorch + Bethlehem Bravo are premium studio torches at $600-$1,500. This bench-top blast burner at $399 is best-in-class value for lab + educational + entry-level artisan use. For high-volume studio work, upgrade to National / Bethlehem for advanced features.
