How A SciMed Pessary Is Made
From Silicone Pellet To Sealed Pouch — In One US Facility
SciMed pessaries are produced from USP Class VI medical-grade silicone, the same biocompatibility classification used in long-term implantable devices. Each unit is moulded, cured, dimensionally inspected, batch-tested, and individually pouch-sealed in our US facility under documented Quality System procedures.
We do not white-label. Every pessary that ships from SciMed comes from our own line, with our own batch records, traceable from material lot to outbound tracking number.

Is SciMed actually the manufacturer, or a reseller?
SciMed is the manufacturer. The pessaries you order are made on our own line in the United States, under our own batch records, with our own FDA registration. We do not white-label or resell another company's product.
How is your price lower than my pharmacy?
Most pessaries reach patients through a manufacturer → distributor → pharmacy chain, plus insurance billing on top. Each layer adds cost. We sell direct, so you pay the device cost plus our margin — not three or four margins stacked.
Are these the same FDA-cleared pessaries my doctor would dispense?
Yes. SciMed pessaries are FDA 510(k) cleared as Class II medical devices under FDA Product Code HHN, 21 CFR 884.5350. The clinical specification — medical-grade silicone, ring design, sizing — is the same as the standard pessaries used in US gynecology practice.
Can I send my pessary to my doctor's office instead of home?
Yes. Enter your provider's office address as the shipping address at checkout. We ship in plain, unmarked packaging. If you'd like a packing slip with specific clinic-routing notes, contact us before placing the order.
Do you sell to clinics and hospitals on account?

What's the return policy?
Unopened, unused pessaries in their original sealed packaging are returnable within 30 days of delivery. Opened or used pessaries are non-returnable for hygiene and safety reasons, consistent with FDA guidance for personal medical devices.
